There’s nothing quite like getting your hair done in the comfort of your own home — no travel, no stress, just a relaxing, personal experience. But to make the most of your mobile hair appointment, a few small preparations can go a long way. Whether you're getting ready for a regular trim, or a colour refresh, Here are my top tips to help everything run smoothly.

💡 1. Choose a Well-Lit Space

Good lighting helps me see your hair’s natural tones and ensures precise cutting and colouring. Natural daylight is best — a spot near a window is perfect. If that's not possible, a bright overhead light works too.

🪑 2. Set Up a Comfortable Chair (with a Back)

While I bring a stool and most of my gear, it’s handy if you have a dining chair or low-back seat available — ideally one without armrests so I can move around you freely.

🔌 3. Have an Electrical Outlet Nearby

If you’re getting styling services like curling, straightening, or blow-drying, I’ll need access to a plug socket close to the setup area. Extension leads can help too!

🚿 4. Wash Hair if Requested (But Not Always!)

Depending on your service, I may ask that your hair is freshly washed and towel-dried, or sometimes left dry and unwashed. Don’t worry — I’ll let you know exactly what’s best when you book.

🧺 5. Lay Down a Towel or Sheet (Optional)

I always tidy up, but placing an old towel, sheet, or mat under the chair can help with easy cleanup — especially for cuts or colour.

🐶 6. Keep Pets (and Kiddos) Busy If You Can

I love meeting your furry friends and little ones! But for safety (and concentration), it’s helpful if they’re occupied elsewhere during certain services — especially hot tools or hair colouring.

☕ 7. Get Comfortable and Enjoy!

This is your time — feel free to put on your favourite music, have a cuppa, and relax while I work my magic. There’s nothing better than feeling pampered at home.
